We're partnering with a leading
investment fund
in clean energy infrastructure to find a
Regulatory Economist
who can bring deep regulatory expertise into a fast-moving transactions team.
This is your chance to be at the centre of Australia's energy transition — turning complex regulation into real-world investment opportunities that shape the future of the grid.
What you'll do
Be the
go-to expert
on East Coast transmission & distribution regulations.
Provide regulatory insight to support

.
Navigate regulatory barriers and identify
new market opportunities
.
Support business development, testing ideas like
data centres and emerging plays
.
Lead client and stakeholder engagement, advocating for investor perspectives.
Drive thought leadership on how regulation shapes commercial strategy.
Background: 5+ years in
regulatory economics
, ideally from a DNSP/TNSP, utility, or corporate with regulatory exposure.
Strong understanding of the Australian energy market conditions and the public policy environment.
Strong commercial grounding - not a pure policy/advisory economist.
Experience in
investment, transactions, or infrastructure strategy
is highly valued.
Known as a
creative, solutions-focused thinker
who works well in a collaborative team.
