The Home and Community Care Program For Younger People (HACC PYP) enables individuals with disabilities or medical/health conditions, and their respective carers, to live as independently as possible in their own homes.
As a Community Care Worker, you will directly support individuals with disabilities and their carers with daily living activities and domestic tasks.
HACC PYP community care work involves a flexible rostering arrangement in which the workplace is primarily the private homes of clients or their carers in Baw Baw and Latrobe local government areas.
* Previous experience in providing care to vulnerable people such as children, people with disabilities or elderly people.
* Able to perform routine domestic tasks as necessary to maintain the normal function of a household.
* Ability to provide social and emotional support for clients in a sensitive and confidential manner.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
