Position description
We seek an ambitious and proactive Regional Manager to oversee the pathology service for the Port Macquarie and Manning Great Lakes areas. Reporting to the Chief Branch Operations Officer, you will be based in the Port Macquarie Laboratory and your responsibilities will include the following:
Leading the operations and strategies of the laboratory, collection centres and couriers to ensure smooth delivery of pathology service across the region
Networking with doctors and medical staff to promote our company positively and continuously strengthen stakeholder relationships
Communicate the status of the region to the executive team and other regional managers through regular attendance of work events and preparation of reports
Promote a positive a work culture and unify the area by regularly visiting all the collection centres and clinics across the areas.
Ideal candidate
We are looking for the following:
Formal qualifications in Medical Science and minimum five years of experience managing people in a healthcare pathology capacity
Highly knowledgeable in laboratory methodologies (automated and manual) and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements
Has excellent people management skills and is a superb negotiator who can influence key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
Open to frequent travels to Sydney and other locations across NSW
Excellent time management skills and delivers on multiple competing priorities without compromising quality
