Job Description:
The City has a unique and exciting opportunity available for a Coordinator Building Surveying to join the branch and contribute to shaping the community in a way that allows it to thrive.
This is a permanent full-time position offering you the opportunity to use your experience and skills in the building industry to shape the way in which the Building Surveying services are delivered so that they are customer focused, efficient, compliant with legislative requirements and aligned to corporate objectives and values. You will also contribute to building the skills and knowledge of our Building Surveying team so they can deliver services professionally and with confidence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate, in conjunction with the Manager City Growth, shaping the Building Surveying services so that it is customer focused, efficient, compliant with legislative requirements and aligned to corporate objectives and values.
Undertake business planning for the Building Surveying Team, including establishing team goals, action plans to achieve those goals, work programs and undertaking risk management.
Coordinate the delivery of the Building Surveying services by the Building Surveying Team, providing leadership and recommending initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.
Monitor the activities of the Building Surveying Team and provide regular reports to the Director Development Services and Manager City Growth demonstrating alignment with Corporate Business and Operational plans.
Coordinate the development of the knowledge, skills and capacity of the Building Surveying Team through mentoring, coaching, training and other forms professional development.
