Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Rail Services Associate to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety of our passengers.
About the Role
* This is a full-time ongoing role with a 24/7 roster that requires flexibility and adaptability.
* You will be responsible for selling Myki and V/Net tickets, making announcements at the platform, assisting passengers, and maintaining the cleanliness of stations and facilities.
* You may need to report to and work from various stations along the Echuca line within an 80 km radius of your residence.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
* Deliver outstanding customer service to V/Line passengers and maintain a safe environment on and around the rail.
* Sell Myki and V/Net tickets and complete other sales transactions.
* Make announcements at the platform and assist passengers as needed.
* Maintain the cleanliness of stations and facilities.
* Coordinate bus replacements and facilitate safe and timely train departures during planned and unplanned disruptions.
* Communicate accurate and timely information to customers about coach replacements and other service updates.
* Carry out platform and customer service duties as required.
Requirements
* A minimum of Year 10 completion.
* A Victorian Driver Licence.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* The ability to adapt to changing environments and prioritize tasks effectively.
* A commitment to maintaining a high level of safety awareness and adhering to our safeworking standards.
