About the Role:
This (up to) 12 month fixed term / full-time contract provides administrative support to the campus location and, as required, to the national campus network across key areas including, Student Services & Administration, Campus Operations and Student Engagement.
Key Accountabilities:
Student Services & Administration
* Deliver administrative support to international student services including student letters, withdrawals, course transfers, leave of absence, course change and release letter applications
* Provide customer service to all stakeholders at the front desk
* Provide student-facing guidance to students around a range of student administration issues
* Manage student queries and requests from the CRM
* Maintain data in PRISMS and other data bases as required
* Prepare and manage student documentation and information
* Coordinate overseas student health cover membership
* Process student administrative forms according to correct process and procedures
* Coordinate and release regular updates on social media platforms and student communication channels
* Establish and work with student leadership groups
* Trouble-shooting IT services and providing basic IT advice to students
Campus Operations
* Oversee and manage all operational functions and activities on campus (notice boards, orientation, student activities, special events)
* Assist the Campus Manager and other departments with operational duties of the campus
* Manage all office functions and the maintenance of supplies
* Monitor and report any building requirements
* Participate in the WHS committee and evacuation training if required
Student Engagement
Organise, coordinate and promote student activities, including orientation, enrolment, student identification cards, student surveys, social events and other activities related to student engagement.
This role will require the incumbent to perform the duties on site on campus. At the direction of the company in response to campus operational needs, this role may from time to time be able to be carried out remotely from home.
Qualifications, Skills & Competences
Qualifications:
* Tertiary or degree qualification or equivalent work experience to sufficiently understand a tertiary education operation
* Desirable to hold relevant WHS and First Aid certification
Skills and Competencies:
* A minimum of 1-2 years of education experience is required, preferably with international students
* Demonstrated ability to take a client-centred approach to negotiation and problem solving and use initiative
* Excellent administration skills
* Superior written and verbal skills
* Strong Microsoft Suite and database management skills (preferably PRISMS)
* Pro-active and willing to anticipate tasks and work required, comply with established processes and identify internal areas of process improvement
* Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
* High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals / groups from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds
* Demonstrated ability to establish effective and productive working relations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
* Proven ability to exercise a high level of diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality
* A commitment to staff and student equity and cultural diversity within the workplace
* A capacity for adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment
* Proven ability to prioritise workload
* Willingness to work outside of normal business hours if required
