Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Job Coach to join our team in Norlane, Australia. As part of our Disability Employment Services (DES) and Workforce Assistance (WFA) programs, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to achieve their employment goals and maintain successful careers.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized coaching and support to clients with diverse needs and abilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' skills, interests, and barriers to employment
- Develop tailored job search strategies and assist clients in preparing resumes and cover letters
- Collaborate with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities and facilitate job placements
- Offer on‐the‐job support and follow‐up services to ensure successful employment outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date client records using case management software
- Stay informed about local job market trends and employment programs to better serve clients
- Advocate for clients' rights and assist in securing necessary workplace accommodations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human resources, or a related field
- Proven experience in job coaching, career counseling, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of Disability Employment Services (DES) and Workforce Assistance (WFA) programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
- Demonstrated problem‐solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming employment barriers
- Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of local job market trends and employment opportunities in the Norlane area
- Understanding of disability rights, workplace accommodations, and relevant government policies
- Empathetic and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others succeed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Relevant certifications in career development or disability support services are preferred
