About the Early Years Place
The Early Years Place is a universal service designed to support families with young children (aged 0–8 years) and expectant parents in Caboolture and surrounding areas. It's a welcoming space where children and families can learn, build connections, and access valuable support services. Our offerings include family support, children's programs, playgroups, child health and midwife clinics, parenting programs, and professional development for the early childhood sector.
About the Role
Lady Gowrie Qld is looking for a experienced individual to join us as our General Manager – Child & Family Services to lead our holistic child and family programs, with a strong focus on early learning, family engagement, and strengths-based support. The position is a 12-month, part-time maternity leave contract, working 32 hours per week based at our Caboolture office. The role does require travel to our other services in Blackall and Townsville.
A key component of this role includes oversight of our Caboolture Early Years Place, Townsville and Blackall Early Years Service's and the Blackall and Caboolture Early Years Coordinator. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, implement and evaluate client-focused programs and services. The General Manager will be self-sufficient and take initiative when they actively lead, support and promote the EYP network.
In this leadership role, you will guide teams that support children's learning and development through play and create pathways for families to access the support and services they need. You will champion a holistic, strengths-based approach that recognises and builds on the unique strengths, culture and circumstances of each family.

About You
* Hold a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Psychology or similar.
* Hold a current Paid Blue Card
* Two years minimum leadership experience in early childhood, family support, community services or related fields.
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaborative, supportive cultures.
* Excellent communication, engagement and partnership-building skills.
