About Us
Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas of criminal law, family law and everyday civil law issues. We provide legal advice, help at court and family dispute resolution, and we can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.
About the Role
* Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Wollongong Office to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of clients and the community.
* Develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the private profession, legal assistance providers and the courts.
* Conduct a legal practice as other priorities permit.

Essential Requirements
* Hold qualifications to practice as an Australian legal practitioner and be admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW.
* Be able to provide a current NSW Practising Certificate (unrestricted) before starting work.
* Be willing to do a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Hold Australian or NZ citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies).
* Live in NSW or be willing to relocate to NSW.
* Have the capacity to travel regularly to remote and regional locations.
Other Information
* The Family Law Division has several roles where it is a statutory obligation for staff to hold a valid Working with Children Check. You will be required to provide your Working with Children Check details prior to commencement in any role requiring the check.
