Atmospheric Science Expert (AI Training) What if your deep knowledge of atmospheric science could directly shape how AI reasons about climate, weather systems, and our planet's future? We're looking for Atmospheric Science experts to develop and evaluate advanced scientific problems that train the next generation of AI models—making them smarter, more rigorous, and more genuinely useful for real-world science.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and academics. If you hold a Master's or PhD in Atmospheric Science or a closely related field, this is your opportunity to put your expertise to work at the frontier of AI development.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

Develop, solve, and review advanced atmospheric science problems with real-world relevance and scientific rigor

Apply your expertise in climate modeling, meteorology, ecology, or sustainability to design complex, high-quality problem statements

Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and logical soundness

Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to strengthen AI model reasoning

Ensure clarity and scientific integrity across all deliverables

Work independently on task-based assignments, fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

Master's or PhD in Atmospheric Science, Climate Science, Meteorology, Environmental Science, or a closely related field

Strong expertise in one or more of: climate modeling, atmospheric dynamics, ecology, or sustainability science

Proficient in Python or R for research or data analysis

Exceptional written communicator — you can explain complex science clearly and precisely

Detail-oriented and rigorous, with a commitment to scientific accuracy

Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment

Nice to Have

Prior experience with data annotation, content evaluation, or AI training workflows

Familiarity with numerical modeling tools or climate simulation frameworks

Background in academic publishing, peer review, or scientific writing

Experience designing problem sets, coursework, or research challenges
