We will actively match against positions as they arise over the next 18 months.About the teamThis newly established team supports the delivery of the strategic roadmap to consolidate and harmonise shared services operations and systems across the NSW public sector.
The program involves consolidating ERP systems and processes, IT service and incident management, and travel and expense management, aiming to improve employee experience and sector mobility.
Additionally, streamlined processes will enable staff to focus more on customer service.The Principal Business Analyst will lead the review and analysis of the organisation's IT services, architecture, applications, and information needs to identify opportunities for standardisation and harmonisation, supporting efficient business operations and performance aligned with organisational strategies and operational plans.Your day-to-dayReporting to the Delivery Director - Government Shared Services, your responsibilities include:Identify and document current IT services, architecture, and applications across supported agencies.Compare current practices across agencies and explore opportunities to standardise and harmonise applications and IT services, applying best practice methodologies to propose innovative solutions that enhance customer service and efficiency.Provide expert advice on the feasibility and suitability of proposed solutions to optimise business operations and performance, consulting internally and externally to ensure the best solutions are proposed.Build strategic relationships and collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and priorities, conducting comprehensive analysis of alternative solutions to develop roadmaps and propose new processes and solutions that deliver maximum customer benefits and meet standards.Gather, analyse, and translate complex business and IT data to generate insights and provide advice on technical issues to non-technical audiences, facilitating informed decision-making and service improvements.Influence stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement in service delivery, enhancing business processes and ensuring customer-focused services.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:Strategic thinking, ability to build roadmaps, and work independently or as part of a team.Experience in defining activities and deliverables, building plans, and executing them to achieve outcomes.Deep knowledge of ICT applications, architecture, or information systems, such as user authentication, networks, desktop provisioning, or knowledge of corporate services applications.Experience with enterprise architecture and documenting as-is and to-be designs; TOGAF certification is advantageous.Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and support proposals.Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary starting at $145,378 plus superannuation.Click here to access the Role Description.
