Role Description
This is a full-time Senior Project Coordinator role based in Oakleigh, VIC with requirements to work from Site as required. The Senior Project Coordinator will support end-to-end project delivery by coordinating schedules, resources, and documentation across multiple construction projects. The role involves liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants and internal teams.
Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive programs and plans for each project, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to project timelines.
* Implement and oversee quality assurance measures to uphold construction standards and ensure the delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
* Actively address and resolve design issues that arise during the construction process to maintain project momentum and quality.
* Assisting the procurement process, including sourcing materials and services
* Provide diligent financial oversight, tracking project expenditures and generating accurate cost reports for effective budget management.
* Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental and regulatory compliance standards throughout all project phases.
* Effectively manage trade packages, coordinating the activities of various subcontractors to ensure seamless collaboration and project progress.
* Implement efficient document management systems to organise and track project documentation, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
* Effectively address and resolve construction-related problems, applying analytical thinking and creative solutions.
* Prepare regular project reports for stakeholders, highlighting progress, key challenges, and upcoming activities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent.
* 3-5 years' hands-on experience in the commercial construction industry, ideally delivering structural or fitout projects.
* Sound understanding of construction methodologies and the practicalities of project implementation, including site documentation, construction processes and project sequencing within fast-paced new build and refurbishment environments.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, fostering a collaborative approach across projects, particularly within live and occupied environments.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy in project documentation and reporting.
* Solid understanding of compliance, risk management and project governance within commercial new build and refurbishment projects.
