Are you a dedicated and experienced nurse with a passion for providing specialised care in the community setting? Country Health Connect is seeking a Clinical Nurse Continence Advisor to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
As a Clinical Nurse Continence Advisor, you'll play a vital role in providing expert nursing services in the community. The primary objects of the role will include:
- Providing specialist nursing services in continence care, utilising your experience and further study to deliver high-quality care.
- Developing from a competent to proficient practitioner, continuously improving your skills and knowledge through experience and professional development.
- Accepting accountability for your own practice standards, as well as activities delegated to others, and guiding the development of less experienced staff.
- Continuing to predominantly focus on clinical practice, while also taking on appropriate portfolios as assigned. These portfolio responsibilities will be negotiated with each employee and aligned with their career development plan.
Country Health Connect focuses on the delivery of exceptional care to those living within our communities who require some support to remain livingindependently or reside in one of our residential aged care facilities.
Our professional and caring staff deliver health care and wellbeing support across regional South Australia in hospitals, local health services, community centres, residential aged care facilities and clients' own homes.
About You
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of continence nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
- Ability to engage with Aboriginal community / consumers in a culturally appropriate manner and a willingness to undertake further training in this manner.
- Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with the abilityto work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision,
- Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting.
