Payroll & Administration Officer (Full-Time)
Location: Torquay

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & Administration Officer to join our team. Supporting a large-scale hospitality operation with 300+ employees, this role works closely with the company directors to ensure smooth delivery of payroll, HR administration, and employee management processes.

This is a position that requires regular attendance at our Torquay and /or North Geelong offices.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Compliance

* Assist in the end-to-end payroll processing for a workforce of 300+ employees

* Maintain and update employee records, pay rates, qualifications and classifications

* Processing of payroll tax, superannuation, and statutory obligations

* Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations

* Ensure compliance with relevant awards, Fair Work requirements, and internal policies

* Respond to payroll-related queries from staff in a timely manner

HR Administration

* Provide day-to-day administrative support to the company shareholders

* Prepare employment contracts, variation letters, and general employment documentation

* Maintain employee database, organise employee files, records, and compliance documentation ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of records

* Complete onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and system updates

* Maintain internal policies, procedures, and staff records

* Manage payroll and workforce systems, specifically Xero and Tanda (essential)

* Ensure accurate integration between rostering and payroll systems

About You

* Proven experience in payroll and/or HR administration, ideally within hospitality or a high-volume environment

* Strong working knowledge of Xero and Tanda (essential)

* Understanding of payroll tax, awards, and employment legislation

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail

* Strong organisational and time management skills

* A collaborative approach with the ability to support and work closely with senior management
