We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Tradesperson to work in our National Maintenance Facility based in Appin NSW.
Reporting to the Supervisor of the National Maintenance Facility, this position will work within a team to maintain, repair, and recondition gas and diesel engines for our power generation sites.
The Key Responsibilities of This Position Will Include
* Working on Caterpillar gas engines
* Reconditioning of cylinder heads and small components
* Assessing parts for reuse and reconditioning engines and other equipment
* Supervising apprentices in training and teaching correct work practices
* Testing engines on completion of overhaul
* Painting and preparing engines for dispatch to site
* Assisting with removal and installation of engines onsite
* Maintaining EDL safety culture to a high standard
* Supporting and complying with company policies and procedures as documented in the company's employment policies
* Traveling to sites around Australia to perform breakdown activities
We are looking for someone who holds a Trade Certificate in Plant Mechanics or Fitting. Previous experience with diesel or gas engine repair and reconditioning is highly desirable, as well as experience with Caterpillar, Deutz, and Jenbacher engines.
