Job summary: Adaptable schedule available
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Contract Bookkeeper to support our growing operations. We run two small businesses in Melbourne — one in real estate photography and the other in property management — and require ongoing bookkeeping assistance for 1 to 2 days per month.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts receivable/payable
Prepare monthly financial reports (due by the 15th of the following month)
Support end-of-month and year-end processes
Process monthly payroll
Lodge IAS and BAS
Manage quarterly superannuation contributions
About You
Proven experience in a bookkeeping role (contract or part-time)
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll and tax compliance
Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work independently with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
