We are looking for a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team in a full-time permanent position.
- The duties of the position will be including the following but not limited to: _
- General duties of the affixing of tiles for functional or decorative use on internal or external surfaces of buildings
- Examining plans
- Measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work
- Preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old times, grout and adhesive, filing holes and cracks
- Cleaning surfaces, spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles
- Setting tiles in position, using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes
- Ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced
- Grouting tiles, and cleaning and removing excess grout and so on
- Providing training for the trainees and apprentices
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction with field experiences of tiling or
- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling with on-the-job training or 2 years post qualification experience, or Minimum 3 year work experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler
- Recent work experience at least for 2 years
- Ability to take instructions and is able to work well both independently and together as a team
- Ability to interpret plans and client’s idea
- Knowledge of tiling methods and materials
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
**Salary**: $65,000.00 per year
