Our client an Australian-based, privately held company that specialise in producing high-quality, plant-based ingredients that are sourced and processed locally. More recently the business has expanded into finished consumer products, initially aimed towards growth in the export market but with the longer-term potential to expand channel offering locally to more grocery / convenience retailers.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on strategic role focused on expanding our clients presence in international markets, particularly across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. The position will map out the regional opportunity, prioritise markets, drive initiatives to broaden market reach and secure new business across multiple channels. This includes the selection of key distribution partners and the development of key customer relationship across QSR, retail, and foodservice partners. The primary focus will be on the company's branded range whilst also identifying and executing opportunities for partnerships on private label or solution-based selling to existing branded companies across the region.
The primary priorities for this role include driving new business with a strong focus on international growth opportunities, actively expanding the partner network, and building robust, long-term customer relationships to broaden the market for our client Success in this role will be measured by new product traction, customer acquisition, achievement of distribution targets, financial performance, and overall growth within their branded products. The role will have clear, unique KPIs and goals, potentially complemented by broader organisational performance metrics.
The Indidvidual
This is a hands-on strategic role that requires an individual that has demonstrated success in building export markets ideally within the food & beverage and/or FMCG sector with relationships across retailers, with a strong understanding of regulatory and logistical requirements across global trade & compliance. They will be a self-starter that has experience building out the international strategy and executing this in a proactive way to deliver growth.
This is a flexible position which involves travel both domestically and internationally. The business is open to someone that can manage their own schedule, however would like a presence in the offices on a regular basis (as a guide one day per week, but the expectation is flexible and can be adapted depending on the individual).
