About the Waste Management Officer Role
This pivotal position plays a key role in assisting the delivery of waste programs, focusing on reducing landfill waste and promoting sustainable practices. The successful candidate will collaborate with community groups, schools, and internal teams to develop and implement effective waste education programs.
The Waste Management Officer is responsible for:
* Providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for community waste enquiries
* Developing engaging waste education programs that encourage correct waste behaviours
* Organising and hosting waste education events in partnership with stakeholders
* Conducting waste audits and inspections to inform data-driven decision-making
The ideal candidate will possess:

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Effective time management and organisational abilities
* Experience in waste/resource recovery or relevant tertiary qualifications

* Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* Flexibility to work outside standard hours
* Current National Police Clearance and WA "C" Class driver's licence
