Responsibilities
* A lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning and conduct assessment in traditional, new and innovative ways to a diverse range of clients.
* Lecturers will also provide consultancy, information and promotional services to industry, prospective students and community clients.
* The TAFE environment offers comprehensive industry based Training Packages and a quality system that provides a framework for delivery and assessment.
* The successful applicant will have at least 5 years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position with an ability to facilitate and encourage learning.
Qualifications
* To work for the College, you may be required to hold Australian or Australian equivalent qualifications. If your qualification has been obtained overseas, the Overseas Qualifications Unit offers a free assessment service to recognise your tertiary or higher education qualification.
* The minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024).
* Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply; however the successful candidate will be required to be enrolled and have commenced training in an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to complete the credential within two years from commencement.

* To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a working visa for fixed term contract appointments or permanent residency for permanent appointments.
* Over the next twelve months, candidates found suitable may be offered appointment to similar and subsequent vacancies within the College, other TAFE Colleges or across WA Government (subject to candidate permission being granted).
