Our Journey

The Casey Area Mental Health Service is led by a forward-thinking, supportive leadership team committed to delivering innovative, recovery-focused mental health care. As our community grows in the Southeast corridor, we continue to evolve and improve our services.

Our Casey Intensive Care Packages Team comprises experienced mental health clinicians who provide specialist support to consumers with complex needs. Guided by the Victorian Department of Health's Intensive Community Mental Health Packages framework, we deliver discipline-specific assessment, treatment, and support for adults aged 25–65 living with severe or persistent mental illness.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Clinician to join our team in Pakenham. This is a permanent, part-time role (3 days per week) open to a Grade 3 Registered Psychiatric Nurse.

A Day in the Life

As an AOD Clinician, you'll deliver a range of therapeutic interventions—both individual and group—to consumers receiving outreach support. Your work will take place in homes, community settings, and clinics, as clinically indicated. You'll also build the capacity of our Intensive Care Packages team to support clients with co-occurring substance use challenges.

What You Bring

* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via AHPRA, with consent for ongoing credential checks.

* Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, or completion of a specialist psychiatric nursing program.

* Minimum 3 years' full-time equivalent experience in mental health nursing post-qualification.

* Demonstrated ability to maintain relevant competencies and skills.
