The role
We are recruiting an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Under supervision, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on BK117, AW139, G150 and B200 Series aircraft as directed by the Engineering Manager, Senior Base Engineer or Supervising LAME.
* Under supervision, carry out maintenance of aircraft components as directed by the Engineering Manager, Senior Base Engineer or Supervising LAME.
* Maintain personal tools and toolboxes in accordance with CareFlight's Maintenance Procedures Manual.
* Complete maintenance documentation correctly.
* Under supervision, maintain CareFlight aircraft within the scope of licencing requirements and in accordance with the CareFlight Maintenance Control Manual and Maintenance Procedures Manual.
* Ensure practical steps are taken to ensure safe practices in the workplace, identifying hazards and using the CareFlight Safety Reporting System.
* Carry out regular servicing of ground support equipment as directed by the Engineering Manager, Senior Base Engineer or Supervising LAME.
* Ensure that all matters pertaining to engineering duties are professionally completed including all correspondence such as emails and phone calls.
Qualifications and experience
* Previous mechanical maintenance experience from Aviation, Marine or Automotive industries.
* Team player approach to work but able to work autonomously effectively.
* Ability to problem solve and provide workable solutions.
* Well organized and self-motivated.
* Professional, service-oriented attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Able to work occasional shifts to support 24/7 operations.
* Completed or completing Cert IV / Diploma in Aeroskills (Mechanical) with continued desire to progress with licensing.
