About the Role:
The Coordinator Regulations supports the Team Leader Parking and Regulations by coordinating day-to-day operations of the Regulations function to ensure effective, consistent, and timely delivery of services under relevant legislation, Council By-Laws, and policies.
You will provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to Regulations Officers, coordinate patrols and enforcement programs, and undertake complex or sensitive investigations. Acting as a key liaison between the Team Leader and operational staff, you will assist with workload management, data reporting, and quality assurance to ensure a customer-focused, efficient, and compliant service
Key responsibilities of this position include:
* Coordinating daily operational activities of the Regulations Team and providing mentoring and training.
* Managing patrols, inspections, and enforcement programs to ensure compliance with legislation and by-laws.
* Undertaking complex investigations and preparing statutory documents.
* Assisting with reporting, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Supporting community education and engagement on regulatory issues.
* Acting as Emergency Animal Centre Manager during emergency events and embedding safety and risk management practices in all operations.

About You
We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of Our Values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Relevant qualification or substantial experience in regulatory or compliance roles (local government experience preferred).
* Strong technical knowledge of legislation, by-laws, and enforcement practices.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
* Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members.
* Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills for complex compliance issues.
* Current driver's licence and animal handling skills.
