Every role in our SSN AUKUS team helps deliver essential sovereign capability for Australia.Recognized for delivering projects of global and national significance that enhance Australia’s safety, our shared passion shapes our culture, and our people make it a great place to work.About the OPPORTUNITYWe have an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineering Manager - Civil/Structural based in Adelaide.As an Infrastructure Engineering Manager within the Maritime Business, you will ensure infrastructure delivery aligns with technical, cost, and schedule goals, meeting contractual and company requirements.You will play a pivotal role in setting requirements for a new shipyard that will build and commission Naval vessels.Your responsibilities include overseeing design, construction, and operational integrity to ensure engineering work meets best practices and quality standards, and that facility designs are safe, compliant with legal, contractual, and environmental standards.This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Civil/Structural engineer to shape a major new site, establish new functions, influence industry standards, and collaborate with top-tier teams.Key responsibilities include:Establishing Civil/Structural engineering design, construction, and operational standards, providing leadership.Arranging design certification reviews with the Chief Engineer.Developing and maintaining technical specifications, procedures, and guidelines.Reviewing and approving engineering drawings, calculations, and models.Monitoring project designs and construction for compliance.Conducting design reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.Providing technical support for non-conformance issues.Serving as an expert for complex engineering challenges.Guiding design, construction, and commissioning processes.Supporting decision-making with engineering expertise.Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends.Collaborating with project teams and contractors to ensure technical integrity.Participating in risk assessments and vendor evaluations.Ensuring designs and construction meet standards and codes.Championing Safety in Design principles.Supporting value management activities.Establishing an engineering assurance function for the shipbuilder.Providing expert input to maintain a safe, legal, and compliant site.About YOUSignificant Civil/Structural engineering experience, preferably in infrastructure and site development.Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil/Structural engineering.Eligibility for Chartered Engineer accreditation with Engineers Australia.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Security clearance or eligibility for Negative Vetting Level 1 and ITAR clearance.We encourage candidates who meet most criteria to apply, even if not all are met.About USWe care about your wellbeing.
