We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer with strong on-site construction experience and a solid mechanical background to support brownfield construction activities at a processing plant.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with contractors, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders to ensure construction works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with established standards. With ongoing investment into site optimisation, this role offers exposure to multiple concurrent projects across a live plant environment.
The Role
* Support construction activities including QA inspections, ITR/ITP sign-offs, punch listing, and resolving contractor whilst simultaneously working on an operational plant
* Work closely with the commissioning team to ensure construction completion aligns with site standards and specifications
* Coordinate key interfaces between the ramp-up execution team and construction contractors to ensure works are delivered in line with project schedules and requirements
* Review and provide input to the contractor's construction methodology, CRAW, risk assessment workshops and Work Method statements
* Ensure project objectives are clearly understood and adhered to by both internal and external stakeholders
* Support safe, compliant delivery of brownfield construction activities
About You
* A post-secondary education qualification in Engineering (Bachelor or Certificate)
* 5+ years' experience managing construction projects (SMP preferred)
* Experience working in brownfield and downstream processing environments
* Strong knowledge of Australian standards and engineering & construction practices
* The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain project timelines
* Exposure to commissioning and handover activities
