We are looking for a team member to join our friendly Motor Mechanics who are proud and passionate about cars. The candidate in mind will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of various vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
* Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle performance and troubleshoot faults. Perform routine services such as oil changes, brake inspections, engine tune-ups, and fluid checks to maintain optimal vehicle performance
* Communicate with customers to explain repair needs, provide service recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with team members in the workforce to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery. Manage time effectively to complete repair and maintenance tasks within deadlines
* Maintain organized records of services performed and parts used.
Qualifications: •Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or Diploma of Automotive Technology Other Skills and Requirements: Automotive mechanic has several key skills which are essential.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, is crucial
* Attention to detail is important for noticing small issues that may indicate larger problems, ensuring thorough inspections and repairs
* Problem-solving skills are necessary for troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical issues efficiently. Additionally, manual dexterity is vital for precise work on small and intricate components.
* Familiarity with a variety of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment, including scanners and lifts, is also essential
* An understanding of the latest advancements in automotive technology, such as hybrid and electric vehicles, helps mechanics stay current in the field.
* Customer service skills enable effective communication with customers, allowing mechanics to explain repairs and recommendations clearly.
* Time management is important for completing repairs and maintenance within set deadlines, while safety awareness ensures adherence to safety procedures and regulations in the workplace.
