We require a suitablyqualifiedSecondary SchoolexperiencedTeacher Aideto work on a part-time basis (32 hours per week). This position will be based at Arcadia College Distance Education in Varsity Lakes.
Selection Criteria – Teacher Aide
* Supporting students (online) with their academic learning, individually or within a group under the supervision of a QLD Registered teacher.
* Implementing & documenting adjustments for NCCD.
* Assisting in numeracy and literacy programs.
* Assist students with special needs.
* Assisting teachers on excursions and campus visits.
* Maintaining anecdotal records on students for use in reviewing student's development.
* Virtual classroom setup and organisation.
* Administration assistance to teachers as required.
* Contributing to the welfare, health and safety of students.
Skills & Qualifications required
* Minimum Certificate 3 Educational Support.
* Current Paid (P) Qld Working With Children Blue Card.
* Experience working as a Teacher Aide in a Secondary Educational setting,preferable in a Special Assistance School.
* Experience working with dis-engaged students and students with disabilities.
* Ability to communicate effectively and display ahigh level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.
* Ability to displayrespect and empathy for students with high level needs.
* Ability to display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitively to students and their families.
This is a part-time position commencing in Term 1 next year, starting on 19 January 2026, within our Arcadia College – Distance Education division. The role is 32 hours per week during school term time, with working hours between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
