**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AOD Youth Worker to provide impactful counselling and support services to young people facing challenges with alcohol and drugs. This role involves working collaboratively with families and community partners, conducting assessments, and delivering culturally responsive care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individual and group counselling sessions to young people experiencing challenges with alcohol and drug use
* Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs of each young person and develop effective plans for support
* Work closely with families and community partners to ensure seamless support and referral services
* Deliver culturally responsive care that respects the diversity of each young person's experiences and backgrounds
* Collaborate with other service providers to ensure comprehensive support and intervention
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Cert IV in AOD or Youth Work (or equivalent qualification)
* Excellent communication and engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and their families
* Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and a willingness to work within a trauma-informed framework
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks accordingly
