Help Individuals with Disabilities Achieve Their Goals

We are seeking a compassionate and highly motivated Support Worker to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Support customers to achieve their goals and wellbeing individually or in groups, in their home, the community, an Aruma hub or an overnight respite house.

Work in an exciting, fast-paced, and flexible environment where no two days are the same.

Support customers to grow, develop new skills, access hobbies and interests, participate in the community, and promote inclusion.

Assist clients in their daily living activities, such as personal care, mobility, and skill development.

Provide Person-centred active support to encourage independence and help customers meet their goals and choices.

Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities.

Ensure a safe environment for customers, colleagues, and yourself.

Requirements:

- Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.

- Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.

- Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others and more importantly, the ability to listen to understand customer needs.

- Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire and embed good practice.

- Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).
