The Role – Field Service Boilermaker (FIFO)
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Boilermaker to join our growing team on a 2:1 FIFO roster ex-Perth. This is a hands-on site-based role supporting mining and heavy mobile equipment across WA mine sites.
You will be responsible for structural repairs, fabrication, and in-pit breakdown support, working both autonomously and within a high-performing field service team.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform on-site structural repairs and fabrication on mining and heavy mobile equipment
* Execute in-pit breakdown repairs under production-critical timeframes
* Carry out bucket, tray, chassis, and crack repairs in field conditions
* Perform MIG, FCAW (Inner Shield), and Stick welding across various material thicknesses
* Complete air arc gouging, grinding, and weld preparation to mining standards
* Interpret engineering drawings and WPS requirements
* Support shutdowns, breakdowns, and planned maintenance
* Ensure all work complies with site safety and quality requirements
* Maintain accurate service reports and documentation

Mandatory Requirements (Must Have)
* Trade qualified Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator
* Proven in-pit breakdown experience on mining equipment
* Demonstrated ability welding to AS/NZS 1554 and/or AWS D1.1 standards
* Competent with Inner Shield (FCAW-S) welding processes
* Must be able to pass weld test at interview:
* FCAW Inner Shield
* 3G (Vertical Up)
* 4G (Overhead)
* Experience with heavy plate (10mm–100mm+) and structural repairs
* Strong capability in air arc gouging and crack remediation
* Current Driver's Licence (HR desirable)
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
