We are currently seeking Seafood Processors and Trainee Seafood Processors to join our Processing team. These hands-on roles are ideal for people who take pride in their work, value quality produce, and enjoy being part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Processing Team Leader, you will be responsible for carrying out seafood processing duties to a high standard while contributing to a safe, organised and positive workplace.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Preparing the processing area in line with company standards
* Seafood processing tasks such as gutting, gilling, filleting (swipe and long cut), skinning and packing
* Following processing lists and directions, including non-standard tasks as required
* Maintaining strict standards across food safety, cold chain, FIFO, hygiene and knife handling
* Monitoring product quality and reporting any issues or opportunities for improvement
* Completing required paperwork in line with despatch, QA and supply chain processes
* Working efficiently to minimise waste and meet recovery targets
About You
You may be an experienced processor or someone looking to build a new skill set.
Ideally, you:
* Take pride in presentation, organisation and attention to detail
* Are reliable, self-motivated and committed to high standards
* Are flexible, adaptable and eager to learn
* Communicate clearly and work well in a team environment
* Have an interest in, or passion for, Tasmanian seafood
Previous experience in seafood processing or a similar role is desirable but not essential for trainee applicants.
