About the role
:
1. Under the supervision of a qualified Allied Health Professional, you will facilitate client, patient, and consumer care by providing both clinical and administrative support
2. The successful applicant will work across the inpatient and outpatient services of JHH
3. They will be involved in assisting physiotherapists with assessments, implementing therapy plans, and other suitable activity programs such as hydrotherapy
4. We offer our valued staff comprehensive orientation and training and support ongoing education, professional development, and research
5. Staff will be orientated and well-supported by the JHH Physiotherapy Leadership team
6. In addition to local orientation and training, HNELHD provides a structured professional development program for all Allied Health Assistants
Requirements:
7. To meet the requirements for Level 2: demonstrated experience working as an Allied Health Assistant Level 1 for a period of 12 months or more and/or Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent qualification)
8. If the applicant is unable to demonstrate these requirements, the applicant will commence service at Level 1
9. If the applicant has completed a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance they will be classified as an Allied Health Assistant Level 3

About you:
15. You have strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
16. You have effective written and verbal communication skills as well as computer literacy
17. You can work both independently and cooperatively with health professionals in a multidisciplinary team environment
18. You are enthusiastic and motivated with excellent skills to facilitate patient engagement in therapeutic-based activities
19. You have completed or are working towards the completion of Certificate III or Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant is desirable
