Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth's Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.

An opportunity exists for a Facilities Engineer to join ANI's Operations team at Osborne. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will provide engineering support to ANI and Tenant operations and maintenance teams and assist with the maintenance and repair of all ANI's operational assets across the Osborne Naval Shipyard. You will also have significant involvement with Design for Reliability, Operability, Maintainability, and Safety (ROMS) on new installations and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

* Leading and managing operations-focused improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and performance.
* Undertaking project and task management responsibilities, including coordinating technical meetings, preparing scopes of work, and supervising engineering contractors.
* Administering and managing Change Management Process and the Asset Criticality Review process to prioritise maintenance and risk mitigation efforts effectively.
* Contributing to Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) practices across ANI facilities and identifying best strategies to improve reliability, optimise maintenance efforts and resources to keep assets functioning effectively.
* Working in conjunction with the Assurance Officer in carrying out review & verification activities through the life cycle of all projects.

About you

This position will suit a person with strong initiative and communication skills who enjoys working in a professional environment. You will have Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or similar and have demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure projects. You will have solid all-round Project Management expertise in cost, schedule, quality, and risk/opportunity management, with a change management implementation mind set.

Qualifications & Experience

* Recent experience operating in an industrial environment.
* Flexibility to undertake a range of tasks in a co-operative team setting.
* A team-oriented mindset with a high attention to detail.
* A current driver's licence and willingness to work across multiple ANI sites.
