Domestic Abuse Prevention Specialist
This position involves making a lasting impact in addressing and preventing domestic abuse. The role is deeply involved in designing and delivering policy, procedure, education, and engagement with stakeholders.
Newcastle Anglican seeks an experienced professional to lead its commitment to the prevention of, and response to, domestic and family abuse. The successful applicant will provide specialist advice, education, and operational support to internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead the development and delivery of Newcastle Anglican's Domestic Abuse Strategic Prevention Plan.
* Design, deliver, and evaluate training for clergy, leaders, and communities on domestic abuse prevention and response.
* Develop and maintain practical tools, resources, and policies to strengthen responses to domestic abuse.
* Provide expert advice and guidance on complex domestic abuse matters.
* Conduct risk assessments and support incident management to ensure safe and appropriate responses.
* Promote respectful behaviours, gender equity, and healthy models of masculinity.
* Build strong partnerships with clergy, staff, and external agencies.
* Monitor data, prepare reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Represent Newcastle Anglican in relevant networks and forums.
