Technical Product Manager
plays a key role in shaping secure and seamless identity verification experiences across Optus. Sitting within the Corporate Shared Services (CSS) division, this role leads the design, delivery, and strategic direction of identity platforms, ensuring they align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role requires strong technical acumen, stakeholder engagement, and platform ownership to drive innovation and operational excellence in CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management).
Your day to day will consist of
Lead the design and development of scalable identity verification platforms in partnership with engineering and architecture teams.
Drive continuous improvement of platform performance and customer experience through data and metrics.
Define and communicate the product roadmap to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
Collaborate with policy, compliance, and business teams to ensure platform solutions meet regulatory and operational needs.
Oversee platform releases, backlog prioritisation, and ensure high availability and resilience.
Champion innovation in digital onboarding and identity verification technologies.
What makes you perfect for the role?
Proven experience in technical product or platform management, ideally within identity or authentication domains.
Strong understanding of digital identity technologies, including biometric and document verification tools.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements and present to senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and influencing across engineering, legal, and compliance functions.
Skilled in defining product requirements, setting measurable objectives (OKRs), and managing platform roadmaps.
Familiarity with Australian regulatory frameworks related to identity data and verification.
Experience working with distributed systems and integrating complex platforms.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on stakeholder alignment and delivery.
