Role Description
Key Duties & Responsibilities are consistent with ANZSCO 331212 job description and include but are not limited to the following:
* Study drawings, plans, specifications, and building codes to determine construction requirements
* Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join timber and other materials using hand and power tools
* Construct, install, and repair building frameworks, including walls, floors, roofs, and formwork
* Install fixtures such as doors, windows, staircases, cabinetry, and cladding
* Carry out renovations, repairs, and maintenance of existing structures
* Ensure all work complies with Australian Building Codes, safety standards, and WHS requirements
* Coordinate with site supervisors, builders, and other trades to ensure timely project completion
* Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe worksite
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 5 years of relevant carpentry experience
* Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or overseas equivalent)
* Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
* High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
* White Card (mandatory)
* Driver's licence preferred
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Functional English communication skills
