Contracts Administration Officer Job Opportunity
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administration Officer to join our team in Dubbo.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing records, assisting with pre-project construction and development planning, preparing contract signing documentation, submitting applications to council, and obtaining occupation certificates upon project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage records and assist with pre-project construction and development planning
* Prepare contract signing documentation and submit applications to council
* Obtain occupation certificates upon project completion
* Perform general office duties, including answering calls, welcoming visitors, scheduling meetings, and preparing subcontractor packages
* Liaise with clients, trades, and suppliers
* Understand and demonstrate the importance of confidentiality within the workplace
* Be punctual and reliable, take pride in your appearance, and have a strong attendance history
* Be well-organized and able to multitask efficiently and prioritize effectively
* Problem-solve, maintain accurate records, and ensure all documentation and paperwork is completed to a high level of detail and accuracy
* Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members, as well as unsupervised, and communicate effectively (both written and verbally)
Requirements:
* Australian citizenship
* Experience using Databuild and Xero (advantageous but not essential)
* Familiarity with construction terminology, council applications (DA, CC, OC), building permits, and liaising with contractors
* Typing or administration-related certificates from training organizations stating typing speed and accuracy (an advantage but not essential)
* Previous experience working in an office/organization within a similar role
* Previous office experience within the construction or building industry
* A minimum of 6 months' office administration experience, and/or a certificate of attendance/proof of training regarding admin would also be favorable for this role
* Proven ability to read, write, spell, and speak English well
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
