Job Details
The AEC seeks three Azure Data Factory Engineers to design, implement, and optimise data integration pipelines that support the Funding and Disclosure Reform Program. These engineers will enable secure, efficient data flows across systems, aligning with best practices in transformation, modelling, and compliance.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* Collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions using Azure Data Factory and SQL
* Develop, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines for secure data transfer
* Design and maintain data models ensuring accuracy, consistency, and performance optimisation
* Implement validation and quality checks to identify and resolve anomalies
* Monitor and optimise processes to enhance efficiency and reduce latency
* Produce and maintain technical documentation (specifications, flow diagrams, procedures)
* Troubleshoot integration issues and apply preventative solutions
* Stay current on emerging tools and practices in data engineering

Essential Criteria
* Strong Microsoft Azure Data Factory skills and experience
* Proven experience in data engineering, including data integration, ETL processes, and data modelling
* Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data warehousing concepts
* Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in teams
* Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Ability to build strong working relationships and work independently
Desirable Criteria
* Proficiency with Microsoft Azure tools/services (e.g., Azure SQL Database)
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Data Engineer or AWS Data Analytics
