Gas type B service technician
Your new company - Hays have partnered with a century-strong Australian engineering business delivering thermal and fluid power technology across Australia and New Zealand, serving crematoria, heavy industrial mining, petrochemical and utility sectors. Due to a high demand for jobs, they would now like to increase their team.
Your new role -
Travel to customer sites to commission or fault-finding gas-fired burners, complete digital service reports, liaise with customers and the project team and participate in the shared on-call rotation. Travel includes Victoria with occasional interstate and overseas assignments.
What You'll Do:
* Install, service, fault-find and commission gas-fired combustion and boiler systems.
* Work directly with customers, management and project teams.
* Plan and document service work to a professional standard.
* Maintain a safe and tidy service vehicle, tools and workshop.
* Identify new service opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed -
* Current Type B accreditation with industrial combustion/boiler experience.
* Strong diagnostics and commissioning capability.
* Ability to interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to travel throughout Victoria, interstate and overseas.
