Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineer you will be an integral part of our company to provide delightful experience to customers in roofing and cladding. These are the duties you will need to perform.
1. Create and review detailed CAD designs and technical drawings for custom sheet metal products and assemblies.
2. Develop mechanical components and systems tailored to client specifications and project requirements.
3. Collaborate with design and drafting teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability of sheet metal products.
4. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes including laser cutting, CNC punching, bending, welding, and assembly.
5. Select suitable materials and finishing processes in compliance with Australian standards and safety regulations.
6. Support production planning and scheduling, provide technical expertise during quoting and project planning, and oversee fabrication and installation of mechanical systems as required.
7. Develop and implement quality control procedures for sheet metal components.
8. Conduct inspections and tests to verify product specifications and resolve mechanical or quality issues to ensure optimal performance.
9. Oversee the maintenance of production equipment such as press brakes, laser cutters, and CNC machinery.
10. Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues affecting production and recommend improvements to enhance equipment longevity and minimize downtime.
11. Prepare and maintain technical documentation and records for compliance, traceability, and auditing, while providing engineering reports and recommendations to management.
12. Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards and support environmental and sustainability initiatives in production processes.
13. Coordinate with internal teams and clients to resolve technical requirements and deliver efficient, innovative fabrication solutions.
Requirements:
·Candidates should have master's degree and must have bachelor's degree.
·Individuals who have CNC operating skills will be given first preference.
·Candidates must have 1 year of prior relevant experience
·Applicant who will be able to show good communication skills will have first preference.
