We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team onsite part time. This role combines core financial responsibilities with customer service support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers while also interacting with clients and colleagues.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting functions, and providing professional assistance to customers regarding finance-related queries.
Finance Responsibilities
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner
* Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts
* Assist with monthly financial reporting and budget monitoring
* Maintain financial records in line with company policies and regulations
* Support audits and compliance checks
* Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts
Customer Service Duties
* Respond to customer enquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances
* Resolve billing discrepancies professionally and efficiently
* Provide overflow support for the customer service team with general enquiries
* Liaise with internal departments to resolve customer account issues
* Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction
Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in a finance, accounting, or bookkeeping role
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to explain financial information clearly to customers
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Myob/ Xero
* Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
* Certificate or Diploma level qualification desirable
