Key Responsibilities
As Tax Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the group's tax obligations are efficiently managed and fully compliant across all jurisdictions. Your responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing all direct and indirect tax compliance including corporate income tax, GST, FBT, and payroll tax
* Managing the tax reporting process including year-end and quarterly provision calculations
* Acting as the main point of contact for the ATO, external tax advisors, and auditors
* Leading transfer pricing reviews and preparing documentation in line with international requirements
* Managing tax risks and controls in line with internal governance policies
* Assisting with tax forecasting and cash flow planning
* Supporting the wider finance team on capital allowances
* Keeping abreast of legislative changes and advising on implications to the business
* Supporting tax audits, reviews, and responding to technical queries from stakeholders
About You
* CA/CPA or CTA qualified with 5+ years of relevant tax experience
* Strong knowledge of Australian tax law and corporate tax compliance frameworks
* Experience in energy, infrastructure, or large-scale capital-intensive environments is highly regarded
* Background in either Big 4 / mid-tier tax advisory or commercial in-house tax teams
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
* Able to operate autonomously and provide commercially focused tax advice to non-finance stakeholders
