About the role:
Belwey Motors is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Upwey, VIC. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide range of vehicles, contributing to the efficient and high-quality service we provide to our customers. This is a full-time role based at our workshop in Upwey.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
* Diagnose and repair faults in vehicles, using your technical expertise and the latest diagnostic equipment
* Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, including servicing, replacing parts and making adjustments
* Accurately diagnose and document service repairs.
* Test and inspect vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards
* Conduct road test and perform thorough quality control inspections
* Provide customer service and advice to clients as required
* Foster a positive, collaborative and team orientated culture within the workshop
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment while ensuring the proper use of tools and specialised equipment
What we're looking for:
* Formal qualification in Automotive Mechanics
* Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostic techniques
* Minimum 3-5 years of automotive technician experience is required
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
* Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to customers
* A current driver's licence and your own set of tools
* Reliable, punctual, conscientious, and adaptable, with a strong work ethic.
* Australian permanent residency is required for this position
