Senior Finance Manager manages general accounting and finance functions for the assigned program located in Alice Springs, Australia. Oversees the development, implementation, and administration of financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and government regulations.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday ADT Hours

Essential Responsibilities

* Manage activities of general accounting functions.
* Oversee the financial analysis of budgets and schedules for the assigned area.
* Interpret and formulate financial methods and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and contract requirements.
* Manage the planning and controlling of financial analysis activities to ensure uniform reporting and analysis.
* Develop and administer cost accounting and financial management systems.
* Manage the staff auditing incurred costs to ensure costs are properly recorded.
* Responsible for the success of the month‐end close, contract invoicing, financial analysis projects, and statistical studies.
* Formulate and administer financial projections and preparation of cash flow forecasts to ensure financial and operating reports accurately reflect business conditions.
* Coordinate, negotiate, and resolve financial compliance issues with various government agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of requirements.
* Manage staff, including making employment decisions, reviewing employee performance, addressing escalated issues, generating assignments, and setting priorities.

Perform all other position‐related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The position is desk‐based and sedentary in nature; however, the ability to lift items up to 5kg may be required occasionally.

Security Clearance Requirement

It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a Negative Vetting (NV1) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or Secret (U.S.) clearance with the ability to upgrade as necessary to support program needs.

Statement of Work Requirements

* At least 18 years of age.
* Able to fluently read, write, and speak English.

EHS & Quality Requirements

* Safety: Responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health, and safety requirements, including completing tasks safely and reporting hazards.
* Stop Work Authority: Employees have the right and responsibility to "Red‐Card" or stop work if a job is unsafe.
* Quality: Must conform to the Amentum Quality Program and consistently provide services that meet customer expectations and contract requirements.
* Compliance: Must read, understand, and implement all operational, safety, quality, and environmental plans and policies.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
* Ten (10) years of experience in accounting or finance; three (3) years in a managerial position.
* Three (3) years of experience in government finance preferred.
* Advanced knowledge of accounting that includes spreadsheets, financial analysis, and other data processing techniques.
* Advanced analytical skills with the ability to analyze information, identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, evaluate results, and choose the best solution.
* Working knowledge of US Government accounting practices.
* Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Sarbanes‐Oxley (SOX), and Internal Audit.
* Excellent communication, effective leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
* US Citizen with active TS/SCI and polygraph (fully adjudicated).

AI expertise if applicable to the program.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

Compensation

$140,000 – $200,000 USD. The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good‐faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
