Social Media Videographer/Producer (Part-time) Founded in ****, Resident Advisor (RA) is one of the world's longest-running music media brands and a cornerstone of the dance, electronic and DJ ecosystem.
The site's audience of over 6 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 18 years.
Purpose of the role: RA is looking for someone with a passion for electronic music culture and editorial content to help us better represent local communities within our Content team while also working closely with our International department.
As a Local Content Creator, you will be responsible for creating original short form content and covering stories within Australia and Oceania for RA's social channels, writing local news and helping us build our community focused content to provide more on ground, local coverage of community scenes.
You will also help us create and implement new content offerings for our city pages, as well as represent RA locally during key partnership moments.
Key responsibilities: 2 pieces of social media video content a month for various digital platforms.
Conduct research and stay up to date on emerging trends in the local scene (Australia and Oceania) Essential skills and experience: At least two years of self shooting (Sony, Panasonic, etc) and video editing experience (Adobe Premiere Pro/CapCut) with a focus on social media.
Experience leading shoots and overseeing productions from concept to delivery within deadline.
Demonstrable social media experience on key platforms, such as TikTok and Instagram.
Experience with script writing, voiceover narration and presenting on camera.
In depth knowledge of relevant and popular electronic music artists, labels, venues, promoters and events.
Other requirements: 2x local news stories per week (with a focus on Key cities strategy) preferable.
Grow RA's audience and profile in key cities in the region.
Experience working across time zones is preferable.
Represent RA at events, partnerships and a liaison for our community of artists, partners and platforms.
Ability to write compelling social copy across different digital platforms preferable.
