Microbiologist Position
We are seeking a highly qualified microbiologist to join our dynamic and specialized team at the Analytical Laboratory.
This role involves conducting routine work that supports various operations within the unit, contributing to maintaining our ISO 17025 accreditation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to perform microbiological analysis on food, water, and environmental samples, making a meaningful impact in the health and safety of our community.
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in science and/or postgraduate studies in microbiology. A strong understanding of laboratory procedures and instrumentation is also essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct microbiological analysis on food, water, and environmental samples
* Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure efficient operation
* Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental objectives
* Develop and implement quality control processes to maintain accreditation standards
Requirements:
* Undergraduate degree in science (major in microbiology)
* Postgraduate studies in microbiology (desirable)

Other Information:
This is a temporary position available from July 2025 until January 2026 with the possibility of permanency. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
