Wellbeing Unit is looking for a Senior Dietitian who will advocate for the physical health care of people living with mental health concerns. This role provides high quality, evidenced-based expertise in nutrition care and foodservice provision, and collaborates broadly to impact the wellbeing of consumers at Macquarie Hospital.

What you'll be doing
The Wellbeing Unit at Macquarie Hospital is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, including a CNS, Dietitians, Exercise Physiologists, Podiatrist, Physiotherapist and Speech Pathologist. The Wellbeing Unit employs a model of care designed specifically to meet the need for physical health care and lifestyle interventions for people living with mental health issues.
The Senior Dietitian provides clinical leadership and expertise in the delivery of a high quality nutrition service, including clinical support and advice in the provision of food services. The Senior dietitian will work collaboratively with the consumers and their support networks, members of the multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders. They will uphold a role in leadership in practice, provide specialist consultation and be committed to quality improvement and multidisciplinary activities across the wider hospital and district.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
* A Bachelor or post-graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia and hold current Accredited Practicing Dietitian status (APD). Demonstrated extensive post graduate experience as a Level 3 Dietitian or equivalent with a strong interest in mental health.
* Demonstrated experience in managing consumers with complex care needs with the ability to work autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
* Extensive specialist knowledge and experience in dietetics including food service and the ability to take leadership in clinical decision making.
* Demonstrated experience of service development including quality improvement activities and change management
