Centacare Family Services Geraldton – Geraldton WA
Centacare Family Services are currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Family Counsellors to join our team.
This is a Geraldton based position, with the flexibility for full time (38 hours per week) or part time (minimum 25 hours per week) employment.
Key Functions
Deliver support to the Geraldton community through provision of Counselling Services, Community Education, and Outreach activities.
Essential Qualifications
Formal qualification in a related Social Services field.
Current registration with a relevant professional body (for Counselling), or ability to obtain.
Select Criteria
Experience in generalised counselling of individuals and families, including providing referral and connection services.
Experience in mental health education would be well regarded but is not essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
An open and welcoming approach to dealing with clients in a neutral, impartial, and non-judgmental manner.
Ability to work within the philosophy and ethos of Centacare.
A remuneration package based on the SCHCADS Award 2010 will be provided based on skills and experience.
Level 5.1 to Level 5.3, $51.00 - $53.31 (subject to experience) per hour, plus superannuation.

Successful applicants will hold, or be able to obtain, a WA Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance no older than 12 months, and a current WA Driver's License.
