About the role
Weigh Auto Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Motor Mechanic (Technician) to join our team in Rockhampton and Yeppoon, Queensland. This is a full-time role that will see you working in a well-equipped workshop, providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for a range of vehicles.
What you'll be doing
* Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on vehicles to identify faults and required repairs
* Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance tasks to keep vehicles in optimal condition
* Repair a variety of vehicle components and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and more
* Test repaired vehicles to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently
* Maintain detailed records of all work performed
* Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics, such as a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic, preferably in a similar workshop environment
* Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
* Commitment to providing high-quality work and exceptional customer service
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A valid driver's licence
