As part of this evolution, we are expanding our culinary team and preparing to unveil a brand-new commercial kitchen designed to deliver premium, modern Australian dining at scale.
We are now seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our leadership team and help shape the next chapter of Gladstone's most iconic venue.

About the Role
As our Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day culinary operations of our high-volume, multi-outlet venue. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will drive consistency, quality, and creativity across all menus — from our elevated pub classics to premium sports-bar dining.
This is a full-time leadership position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and wants to grow with a venue that's rapidly expanding.

What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operations
* Leading food preparation, cooking, and high-quality plating standards
* Ensuring consistency across all dishes and maintaining premium presentation
* Championing food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance
* Mentoring and developing junior kitchen staff
* Assisting with menu development, cost management, and recipe creation
* Helping prepare the kitchen team for the launch of our brand-new culinary space

What We're Looking For
* Experience as a Sous Chef or strong background as a Senior/Commis Chef ready to step up
* Culinary qualifications or equivalent professional experience
* Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine, cooking techniques, and presentation
* High attention to detail with a passion for premium hospitality
* Ability to thrive in a busy, high-volume kitchen
* Strong communication and leadership qualities
* Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
